Albert Arqué, Business Sales Manager of Comercial Arqué

“We propose trends, but it is the market that decides which materials to use”.

Comercial Arqué, leader in hot and cold foil stamping supplies, was one of the companies that supported with its sponsorship the last edition of ‘Sin Límites a tu Creatividad’. Albert Arqué is its Business Sales Manager, and during the event he shared with us his vision about the dialogue that is established between designers and suppliers and materials as the seed of labelling trends.

As sponsors of ‘No Limits to your Creativity’, what do you think is the most important thing you bring to graphic designers with the celebration of this event?

As a sponsor of the event and as a manufacturer of hot stamping films, we bring new designs, colours and trends in everything to do with hot stamping.

And what do you get out of these days of direct contact with top design professionals?

For us it is very interesting to be here with all the designers and to be able to contribute this grain of sand professionally, because we can change everything related to the subject of how to use our tools with the professionals, with the printers, and at the same time be able to introduce all the new materials that we are bringing out each season.

Is ‘No Limits to your Creativity’ a meeting point to spot upcoming trends in packaging and labelling?

It is not spotting, we introduce a new trend in materials and there is a combination of talking to designers and being able to create new trends together. In the end it is an exchange between them and us, in the end it is the market that decides what kind of material to use. We are not going to dictate to the market where it has to go, but we interact with the designers and create things to see if the market follows one trend or another.
