Grupo Argraf is organising this creativity conference focused on the wine label and packaging design sector in order to highlight all the work required to complete a finished product and the agents involved in this process, as well as to reward the agencies and designers for their talent and effort in creating the design that is subsequently printed in the workshops of a company with more than 80 years of experience in the world of graphic arts.

“No Limits to your Creativity” is a reference event for design professionals and students. An unmissable meeting that encourages collaboration, the union of creative minds looking for a chain of ideas to “make the impossible possible”.

This meeting brought together leading design professionals on 17 and 18 November in the heart of the Penedés region. Grupo Argraf held its fourth meeting “No Limits to your Creativity”. An event that brought together leading design professionals of the current scene, who were able to exchange experiences and knowledge, as well as learn first-hand about new trends in labels, stationery and capsules, from the hand of the collaborating companies of this edition, Rivercap, Avery Dennison and Comercial Arqué. The “No Limits to your Creativity” meeting left La Rioja for the first time to be held in Catalonia. This was a declaration of intent on the part of the Riojan firm, which has recently acquired Redgraf, Realizaciones y Diseño Gráfico S.A., a company based in the Barcelona town of Rubí and specialising in the manufacture of glue-on and self-adhesive labels for the cava sector. This reinforces Grupo Argraf’s presence in this important wine and cava area, where it was already working, strengthening the relationship with customers in this area, as well as opening a new line of business: the manufacture of capsules for cava.

Grupo Argraf’s CEO, Alberto Torroba, highlighted that the event “Sin Límites a tu Creatividad” “has been a space for learning and sharing”. He underlined the wisdom of moving this year’s event to Catalonia, specifically to the heart of the Penedés region, “a majestic setting that is especially relevant for us, given the acquisition of Redgraf”.

Grupo Argraf wanted to bring its company closer to design professionals from different parts of Spain with the aim of establishing future synergies. It is not in vain that Grupo Argraf has become a leader and reference in the high-value label sector.

They were two intense days, framed in Bodegas Codorníu and Bodegas Freixenet, in which the designers, in addition to enjoying the activities programmed by Grupo Argraf, attended a talk by the creative director of YOUMEDIA, Ecequiel Barricart, in which he addressed important aspects such as creativity, the metaverse or the digital being. He also participated in a tasting of cavas by the Master of Wine Jonas Tofterup. Of Danish origin, he is one of the seven Masters of Wine living in Spain.

The meeting also served to introduce Redgraf’s new manager, Miguel Torroba, who is taking on the important mission of consolidating the company and making it grow in this highly competitive sector.

The third “No Limits to your Creativity” meeting took place on 6 and 7 October in La Rioja, and was attended by some of the biggest names in wine design. For two days, the guests took part in presentations, conferences and wine tasting, and had time to exchange experiences and knowledge with the aim of finding new avenues of development and ideas for their future designs.

6-7 october 2021 – LA RIOJA

Grupo Argraf, a leading label printing company, held the third meeting of designers specialising in the world of wine “No limits to your creativity” at the beginning of October. This edition, even more special as it was the first one after the outbreak of the pandemic, has shown everyone’s desire to share experiences and has consolidated this event as a reference for design professionals. An unmissable meeting that fosters collaboration and the union of creative minds.

The conference brought together some thirty participants, including professional designers and heads of design schools, who were able to visit different scenarios related to the world of wine, with the aim of encouraging their imagination and managing to fuse art and knowledge of the environment with their work and experience.

During the first day, held at Finca El Juncal, the attendees were able to listen to Sandra Costa -BDM Spain & Portugal of Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive, a collaborating company and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium self-adhesive papers.

In her presentation, Costa presented the new Neck label papers (collars) as well as the new recycled papers, part of an extensive range of products within the framework of sustainability, the objective of the Fedrigoni group.

After this speech, the writer and lecturer Andrés Pascual, an expert in change management, gave a talk to those present on how to flow and show our best version in the chaotic and changing world we live in. Pascual began by explaining how our brain works and provided the keys to challenge it and move towards personal and professional success, even when external circumstances are complex.

The second day took place at the prestigious Bodegas Muga, in Haro, where the participants, in addition to visiting and getting to know these facilities up close, were able to listen to a presentation by Cristian Sillero, Foil unit Manager, from Comercial Arqué, a collaborating company and leader in the supply of hot and cold foil stamping. In his speech, Sillero gave an interesting technical talk about the possibilities offered by mechanised engravings for stamping or embossing and also explained how to identify the different effects in the designs.

The guests also had the privilege of participating in a conference and wine tasting with the Master of Wine Pedro Ballesteros, where they were able to see the expectations that consumers have of a wine based on its image.

After the hiatus caused by the pandemic, the celebration of this event has become more meaningful than ever, making it clear that creativity does not and should not have limits. We are all looking forward to returning to a new “normality”, slower, more authentic, a different situation in which we are stronger and more united than ever.

The second edition of Sin Límites a tu creatividad brought together the best professionals on the current scene specialising in wine labels and packaging, together with future promises of design, on 26 and 27 June 2019, encouraging connection and the exchange of experiences and knowledge. Seminars, activities, exchange of experiences and knowledge were held with the aim of helping those present to find new ways of development and ideas for their future designs. Visits were made to the Vivanco Winery and Wine Museum, the facilities of Ramondin, a partner of the meeting together with Arconvert and Infopack, and the day ended with a tasting of dishes from the Ikaro Restaurant in Calado, an architectural jewel from the 16th century, located in the heart of the old part of Logroño.

The first international meeting of designers was held on 3 and 4 October 2018. It brought together more than twenty experts from different Spanish cities and was also attended by French designers. Organised at Bodegas Campo Viejo, the evolution of labelling, design and paper was discussed in an instructive and entertaining conference with the collaboration of Avery Dennison, which culminated with the magical performance of Jorge Luengo.
